I’m Mae Ashworth, and I’m thrilled to finally launch my website and share my writing journey with you. As I sit in my favorite Sydney café, coffee in hand and notebook at the ready, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. This little corner of the internet is where I’ll be sharing my stories, musings, and updates on my debut novel, The Apartments at 69.
About The Apartments at 69
This novel has been a labor of love, frustration, and joy. It’s set in a charming apartment building in Kirribilli, a suburb that holds a special place in my heart. Within its walls, 14 residents navigate the ups and downs of relationships, sex, heartbreak, and everything in between. It’s a contemporary romance that asks one of life’s biggest questions: Can love truly last forever? Expect a few cats, some tears, and a lot of heart along the way.
What’s Coming Up?
For now, I’ll be sharing short stories, character diaries, and exclusive excerpts from The Apartments at 69 right here. And guess what? You can receive a free excerpt by simply signing up for my mailing list! I’m excited to give you a sneak peek into the lives of the characters I’ve grown to love.
The store is still a work in progress, but stay tuned for some exciting content coming soon. Until then, I’ll be sharing regular updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses into my writing life.
Why I Write
My fascination with human connection, love, and all its messiness drives my stories. You might often spot me at a café, observing the world around me and capturing those little moments that end up becoming the heart of my writing. I hope my words resonate with you, make you laugh, or even bring a tear to your eye.
I’d love to hear from you! What kind of stories do you enjoy? What makes a love story unforgettable? Drop me a comment or send me an email—I’m always up for a chat.
Thanks for stopping by, and I can’t wait to share more with you!
With love,
Mae
Stories are everywhere—woven into glances between strangers, whispered in quiet corners of cafés, and found in the most unexpected places. I write to capture those fleeting moments and turn them into something unforgettable.
